ABSTRACT
Jorge Mario Bergoglio is an Argentine Jesuit born on December 17, 1936 in the neighborhood of Flores, Buenos Aires City, Argentina. He is son of an Italian immigrant and Argentine mother. At 21 years old, he entered the novitiate of Jesus Company and studied theology at the Faculty of Theology of the Maximum College of Saint Joseph, located in San Miguel, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
