Abstract

Knowledge is the most significant resource. Stepping into the age of knowledge economy, knowledge plays an increasingly important role, so more and more scholars are interested in knowledge management. This chapter tries to propose a new way to classify knowledge. It first introduces the definition and characteristics of knowledge. Then it uses the two-dimensional classification standard, “the stage where it stands in the value chain” as cutting point and “knowledge content”, which has been made a rigorous conceptual division of scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and experiential knowledge. In addition, this chapter also explains it with specific cases of clinicians to improve the understanding of knowledge connotations and enhance the effectiveness of knowledge management.
