They [trawlers] would go out on the Monday morning and be back again on the Thursday with 50, 60, and sometimes 70 and 80 boxes of large live plaice, take them out of the wells, put them into my boxes and send them to London. Now all these fish banks [in the North Sea] are absolutely fished out.
