ABSTRACT

Consumer behavior (CB) is very dynamic and is a very critical issue in tourism. As there is tough competition in tourism and globalization gives opportunities to tourists to choose from abundant alternatives, this chapter focuses on tourist behavior and aims to shed light on the key important factors influencing tourists’ decision-making. Tourist typologies and tourist consumer behavior models are presented collectively in tables in order to present a broad understanding. Meanwhile, suggestions for further studies are also presented at the end of the chapter. The reader will be able to comprehend the importance of tourist behavior, the limitations of the studies, and the development pathways of the subject.
