Julian Wheatley, who directed Chinese language programs at Cornell University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, tells the story of his long involvement with Chinese language instruction, reflects on some pet pedagogical issues and, then, to bring things to a close, submits to a probing interview by one of our own editors, Chris Shei.
