ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to give a brief overview of developments in the field of Arabic lexicography in the light of the deep technological transformations scholarship has undergone in the last decades. The focus of interest is on the impact of the ubiquitous presence of the Internet and digital applications on Arabic lexicography, on the impact of the new methods, new media and new tools which have fundamentally changed the way dictionaries are being produced, published and used. In view of the vastness of the material and the complexity of the field, the following paragraphs are perforce limited to selected examples.
