ABSTRACT

Coopetitive relationships create tensions between information sharing and information protecting. The management of coopetitive tensions related to information is essential for coopetition success. This management depends on the criticality and the appropriability of the information. The management of critical and appropriable information in coopetitive relationships relies on a combination of formal and informal control mechanisms. Thus, managing tensions related to information in coopetition requires a combination of the separation and integration principles.
