ABSTRACT

Dunlap shares how and why she balances teaching, administration, and directing professionally. As a member of the first graduating class of theatre arts at HBCU Morgan State College (now University) and a recipient of an MFA from the University of Cincinnati, she has taught and mentored students to make theatre arts their vocation and not their vacation. Whether at an HBCU (Central State and Morgan State Universities) or a PWI (Iowa State and Towson Universities), she has been an example of one who can study theatre and pursue it professionally.
