ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to provide a resource for both primary care and behavioral health providers to aid in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) screening as part of routine primary care. It will outline diagnostic criteria of OCD along with related risk and prognostic factors and differential diagnosis. Following a thorough review of OCD screening and assessment measures and psychometric properties, three measures are reviewed in detail along with implications for implementation in primary care. Last, a case study will detail the implementation of a featured measure for diagnosis and treatment of OCD in an adolescent in the primary care setting.
