ABSTRACT
The clinical interview in pediatric primary care is an integral part of making behavioral health care accessible and acceptable to patients. Many considerations should be taken when completing the clinical interview in order to collect information to help the family navigate the care system within their own primary care office. This chapter will address preparing for the interview, cultural and other considerations, the clinical interview process, collaboration with the medical team, planning for treatment, and navigating the system with the family.
