ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with some of the major rich tombs (hypogea) and their associated “ditches” found in the “Royal Necropolis” on the bank of the large south basin at Gonur Depe. A preliminary systematization of the plan of the area, the different constructions, and the rituals that were performed in them is presented here. However, the severe looting of the graves greatly hampers a full comprehension.
