ABSTRACT
The Yucatan, which includes the famed Riviera Maya, has undoubtedly become one of the prime locations for international travel. Mixed with the high-end beach-seeking tourists are also many others interested in the Maya’s esoteric enlightenment inherent in this culture’s monumental archaeological remains. This exotic tourist destination that includes a prime Caribbean location, along with pyramids and a seductive mythical lore make the Yucatan an interesting lab of sorts.
