Abstract

We can begin with a question that has persisted through the ages. Why war? In our modern world each day’s news brings renewed evidence of violence, conflict, and warfare from around the world. One might question just how deeply into time we would have to travel to find a single day when a human individual has not being harmed or killed at the hands of another. Perhaps, one might speculate, no such day has ever existed.
