Reviewing the current stalking literature, this chapter will discuss what we already know about stalking and how it is experienced by men and women. Referring to the author’s recent research conducted in Scotland and key research from the field of violence against women, the discussion will highlight the context and aspects of stalking that illustrate its gendered nature. The chapter concludes that stalking is a gender-based violence and discusses the merits of framing it as such.
