ABSTRACT

In this chapter I analyse the implications for political leadership of the philosophy of Martin Heidegger, as well as of his active political role in the 1930s and 1940s. I also relate Heidegger’s thinking on political leadership to the philosophies of Machiavelli, Hegel and Nietzsche.
