ABSTRACT
Chapter 22 is divided into three parts, the first examining the myths associated with the return journeys of the heroes of the Trojan War, the second with the wanderings of Odysseus, and the third with the return of Agamemnon and later history of the Pelopid family. The second part of the chapter offers an account of the wanderings of Odysseus and of his subsequent fate, as described in the Odyssey and the later tradition, while the third part examines the later history of the Pelopids.
