ABSTRACT

The Empowerment Behavioural Management Approach (EBMA) is a novel neuropsychological rehabilitation methodology developed by the authors for managing challenging behaviour in people with acquired brain injury in community settings. The approach does not yet have widespread use or empirical validation but is based on sound theoretical knowledge and evidence-based practice, and is presented here to illustrate a creative and client-centred approach that the authors have found to be highly successful at managing complex neurobehavioural disorders.
