Abstract

The world is full of teachers. They can take the form of grandparents, toll booth operators, mail carriers, and college professors. Sometimes our teachers share specific information, something they secured through life experience or advanced training. Other times, they give us something less concrete but just as useful: a way of living. What matters is that they show us what to do—and occasionally, what not to do.
