ABSTRACT
In this introduction, we outline the focus (Section I.1) and profile (Section I.2) of the handbook. Then, we summarize lessons that can be learned in terms of the robust and innovative research that has been done; it is a starting point for future, more integrative research into the dynamics and complexity of the interplay of language and media (Section I.3).
