Human rights and everyday practices of policing in post-war Sri Lanka

With the Universal Declaration of Human Rights now over 60 years old the focus of recent human rights scholarship and practice has been on implementation. Alongside the continued push for accountability and enforcement of human rights laws, since the 1990s there has been a shift towards seeing education as a crucial factor in the establishment of a human rights respecting society (Phillips and Gready 2013, Coysch 2014).
