Building awareness and competence are fundamental tasks in disaster risk reduction (DRR) including climate change adaptation (CCA). While there are several education-related agendas for DRR, the education arena for climate change ‘lacks a coherent framework that articulates how education can combat climate change’ (Anderson 2010, p. 6).
