ABSTRACT
Ecological restoration is not rocket science – it’s much harder! In contrast to the relative simplicity of manipulating the inanimate physical forces involved with building rockets, effective restoration inevitably involves wrestling with the far greater complexity of living species and ecosystems, thorny socio-economic-political issues, and vexing philosophical conundrums.
