ABSTRACT
In this chapter I reflect on my ethnographic research 1 on local heroin markets and argue that the convention of separating (and isolating) the operation of illegal drug markets from drug addiction and the lifestyles of people addicted is unrealistic. 2 Further, I examine what changing this perspective might mean.
