An exit strategy from capitalism's ecological crisis

Nature is continuously impacted by the process of capitalist accumulation. Nature is converted, redefined, and transformed into sites of production for profit through a process of re-ordering which requires material and energy inputs, and produces waste. The high dependency of capitalism on the extraction and burning of fossil fuels as sources of energy is one critical cause of escalating and irreparable ecological degradation.
