Abstract

Suicide is a complex human behavior. In this chapter, we will discuss suicide from the perspectives of psychopathology, existentialism, and religious/cultural factors. At the end of the discussion of these three perspectives, we will discuss the clinical implications from a psychologist’s viewpoint and offer a multidimensional approach to the assessment of suicide.
