ABSTRACT

Media is an unwieldy term, in that it can refer to virtually any form of communication from any era. Our focus is sharpened only slightly by relating “media” to “war,” an almost equally all-encompassing term that is used to describe conflicts small (Falklands War), large (Second World War), and even metaphorical (War on Poverty).
