Abstract

Parents and Children Together (PACT) is a £4 million turnover charity supporting children and families based in Oxfordshire, UK. Founded in 1911 under the auspices of the Church of England, PACT undertakes a range of services: some are self-funded, using private donations and funds from the Diocese, some use a social enterprise approach, providing contracted-for social services funded by local or national government. In 2010, PACT faced growing pressures on its resources; with increasing social need, there was a challenge to grow funds to meet it. While its centenary celebrations in 2011 would provide an opportunity for fundraising and wider engagement, how could it tell a story that demonstrated the value that its work was creating?
