ABSTRACT
Myanmar’s media has been at the forefront of government-led reforms initiated since 2011. Pre-publication censorship has been lifted for print media, controls over internet access have evaporated and government officials are more accessible and accountable than ever. Reporting is probing and provocative, and publications enjoy a level of independence that would make many of their peers in the region jealous.
