ABSTRACT

In sum, this chapter is written from a third-wave womanist theoretical frame that features contemporary womanist discourse, (discourse that centers the theological, religious, and ethical reflection of women of African descent and their interdisciplinary perspectives on religion) and shares dialogue across the African diaspora making “global links.” In addition the chapter engages interreligious dialogue and interdisciplinary methods that help to acknowledge, embrace, and examine, the rich complexity of womanist religious thought.
