ABSTRACT
Many of the chapters in this Handbook provide a global perspective on various topics. Our intent is to be as inclusive as possible given that as co-editors we represent an Anglo-American viewpoint. We are limited because English is our first language, and we live in geographic areas that privilege us to the research and practice related to the outdoors from our ethnocentric perspectives. We are aware, however, that other standpoints exist and we highlight a few of them.
