ABSTRACT

There is now almost complete agreement amongst scientists that our climate system is changing and that human activities are the predominant driving force [1]. The effects of climate change are many. The changes to long-term weather and climate systems, water resources (including glaciers, water tables and rivers), fl ooding, population movement and food security are already having signifi cant adverse health impacts [2, 3], with worse to follow. Climate change is the greatest public health threat of our time and action is needed now.
