ABSTRACT
As China rises rapidly, its growing economic, military and diplomatic power is reshaping the balance of power and strategic landscape in East Asia. Yet how and to what extent China will reshape future international relations in East Asia is still uncertain. Leaders in Beijing have yet to formulate a clear grand strategy on East Asia, and regional countries grapple to understand China’s future role in East Asia.
