ABSTRACT

The aim of this book is to offer insight into some of the key dimensions of the relationship between people and place in cities, encompassing salient aspects for either people or place, with a focus on the relationship between the two. There is no claim that this book is a definitive collection, or even a representative collection, of considerations that face all countries and their cities. However, topics and authors from around the world have been drawn together to show-case new work and theory and provide an authoritative discussion on people and place.
