ABSTRACT
We have been watching a new political environment develop since the American people selected a Congress and federal administration which is not sympathetic to LGBTQIA issues. The federal administration has essentially decided to dismantle federal protections for the LGBTQ community in the United States. The community is aware of the antipathy, but perhaps is not completely aware of some of the specific actions, or ramifications, of the federal administration’s actions, so it is the goal of this chapter to specifically define those changes that have been made and recommend a way forward.
