ABSTRACT
One of the issues explored in this chapter is the way in which (a) LGBTQIA individuals have formed their own organizations (primarily business and non-profit), in order to build their own self-worth, as well as to ensure that they have a financial future and (b) LGBTQIA individuals have increasingly been accepted both in corporate, non-profit and business organizations. Both approaches are ways in which the LGBTQIA movement has accomplished acceptance within the society; an American society which so highly values business success.
